Shokiye seminar room inaugurated

DIMAPUR:

North East Christian University (NECU) inaugurated the Shokiye Seminar Room on March 20, with the dedicatory prayer offered by senior pastor, Dimapur Sumi Baptist Church (DSBC), Rev Dr ZK Rochill.
A press release by NECU stated that the seminar room was named after the first Physiotherapist from Nagaland Late. Shokiye Kibami. The facility was funded and furnished by Khehuli Kibami in the memory of her late father.
Speech on behalf of the family of Late Shokiye Kibami was shared by Akheli Sema, Khehuli Kibami and Samuel Sema, wife, daughter and son respectively of Late. Kibami.
During their speeches, the family members recounted the life of Late Kibami and shared accounts of his contribution to the society and even towards Church ministry.
His values of perseverance, benevolence and compassion and his commitment to the Lord according to them enabled him to be a gentle care giver and in the process healed many.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by director (Academics), Dr.Kangzangding Thou. Short speeches were delivered by pro-chancellor, NECU, professor Dr.Darlando T. Khathing, Director of Operations, NECU, HuzoMeru, and Rev. Dr. Z. K. Rochill. The choir of Dimapur Sumi Baptist Church and Coloured Keys graced the occasion with special songs.
