Shop selling liquor imposed fine

Dilong Ward Executive (Yimden) opened the locks of the three shops that were earlier closed as penalty for allegedly selling liquor on August 12.
Subsequently, the Yimden imposed customary fine of a pig to the owner of the building. The Yimden further said an understanding between the owner have been arrived and if found selling liquor again, they would be imposed another fine of five pigs and liable to any punishment as laid down by the Yimden.
Earlier, the Yimden locked the shops after they were found selling liquor on July 8. (Correspondent)
