In a major step towards fostering innovation and sustainable development, the department of Environment, Forests, & Climate Change, has officially transferred the Shopping Complex at Forest Colony, Midland Dimapur for the creation of an Integrated Business Hub and Innovation Centre (IBH&IC).
The transfer ceremony was held in the presence of minister for Environment, Forests & Climate Change CL John. During the event, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests & Head of Forest Force, Dharmendra Prakash, presented the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to Principal Secretary and Development Commissioner, R Ramakrishnan, marking the start of a 10-year agreement for the facility.
According to a press note issued by IDAN, IBH&IC is envisioned as a dynamic platform for entrepreneurial ventures, technological innovation, and cultural exchange. It will offer state-of-the-art facilities and support services designed to empower local businesses and startups.
In addition to this, a further MoU was signed among four departments– Environment, Forests & Climate Change, Industries & Commerce, Planning & Transformation, and Investment & Development Authority of Nagaland (IDNA)– to ensure the smooth operationalization of IBH&IC.
IDAN joint secretary received the MoUs for priority operationalization of the Centre under IDAN’s management. Initial office spaces within the IBH&IC are expected to begin operations soon, marking a significant milestone in promoting economic growth through sustainable practices in Nagaland.
As preparations for transforming the Forest complex building into a bustling commercial hub proceed, IDAN has invited the community and potential partners to contribute to shaping a vibrant future for the region.
