Siddhart Chetri from Kohima and Sweta Sonar from Mon district were crowned the first Mr and Miss Gorkha Nagaland 2022 respectively on September 25, at Holy Cross Hr. Sec. School auditorium, Dimapur. The event was organised by B Bros Entertainment under the motto “To promote, and uplift the talent of one’s community”.
Altogether, 28 finalists from different districts of Nagaland competed for the title.
The 1st runner-up title for Mr. Gorkha was bagged by Prakash Sherestha, while Raj Rana bagged the 2nd runner-up position, while Miss Gorkha Nagaland 2022, 1st runner-up was bagged by Deepbhiyani Lama and 2nd runner-up by Rebecca Tamang.
Sub title winners in the male category are Best Model – Richard Gurung, Mr Ramp walk – Prakash Sherestha, Mr Personality – Siddhart Chetri, Best Ethnic – Siddhart Chetri, Mr Popular – Pratham Thapa, Mr Talent – Raj Rana. While sub title winners for female category are Best Model – Sweta Sonar, Miss Ramp walk – Sweta Sonar, Miss Personality – Deepbhiyani Lama, Best Ethnic – Diya Rai, Miss Popular – Deepbhiyani Lama and Miss Talent – Angel Tamang.
Judges for the event include, designer/choreographer, Prasantt Ghosh; VLCC Femina Miss India Nagaland 2022, Lovi Awomi; proprietor of Elite Strength Gym and fitness trainer, Neitho Rio Achumi; proprietor Raindrops Academy, Pushpa Thatal; Glamanand Super Model India 2022 finalist, Rovinuo Lama and CEO, B Bros Entertainment, Sunil BK.
President, National Peoples Party Nagaland, Dr. Andrew Ahoto Sema graced the occasion as special guest, while and state executive member BJP Nagaland, K Hukuto Khulu, was guest of honour.
Nikato Tamang, Suraj Gautam, Tashi Tamang, Sourav Lama (Solo) lead guitarist of Vortax Band and Dreamworks Taekwondo Academy enthralled the audience with their performances.
The host of the evening were Jenny Lamechane Chhetri and Reshab Chettri. The show was choreographed by Sanjeev Tamang.
