DIMAPUR: State Institute of Hotel Management (SIHM), Dimapur organised Inceptus 2026, a vibrant orientation programme to welcome its new batch of Degree (awarded by JNU) and Diploma students on July 27. Keholeno Kennao, Senior Tourist Officer, Department of Tourism, graced the occasion as chief guest.
Delivering the introductory address, SIHM principal Deepak Srivastava encouraged students to strive for excellence and make the most of opportunities offered by the institute. Addressing the gathering, Kennao highlighted the growing prospects in the hospitality industry and urged students to pursue their careers with dedication, professionalism and a spirit of continuous learning.
The programme featured an introduction to the institute’s administration and academic team, followed by a guided campus tour led by senior degree students. As part of Inceptus 2026, a week long induction programme has been planned to familiarise newcomers with campus life, academics and student activities.
The induction week will include informative sessions, interactive activities and fun filled events organised by third year students to help the new batch settle in with confidence and enthusiasm.
The orientation day concluded with lunch and an interactive session, allowing students to engage with faculty, staff and seniors in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
