Silaphalakam (Memorial Plaque) program, marking the commemoration of the 75th Aazadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, was observed at the Helipad ground in Thonoknyu HQ on August 17.
According to DIPR report, the ceremony was marked by the unfurling of the National Flag by SDO Civil Tsiatsusie, followed by a Rastriya Salute rendered by Nagaland police and the rendition of the National Anthem by Government High School Thonoknyu.
SDO Civil Tsiatsusie pay homage to the valiant heroes who laid down their lives in defense of India’s freedom and pride. The programme also included a symbolic act of planting trees in the Town area, signifying growth and continuity. The event witnessed the participation of esteemed individuals, including DBs, GBs, and the Adhoc Town Committee.
