On the occasion of “International Day of Elimination of Violence Against Women”, Deputy Commissioner, Tuensang Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa released an awareness movie titled “Silent Screams” on November 25 at Deputy Commissioner office chamber, Tuensang.
The movie was directed by award winning film maker Bendang Walling and jointly produced by Tuensang District Administration, Sakhi One Stop Centre and District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW) Tuensang.
The movie focuses on the pressing issues of domestic violence and it aims to raise awareness and promote discussion around the often violence that many women face in their own home. The movie is available for viewers at the Hill Theatre YouTube Channel.
