A team of eight youths including pastor from Singapore gave two-day leadership training at Chennai under the theme “effective leadership” at St. Thomas Mount, led by pastor Mark on July 5 and 6. The team enlightened the training as main the resource persons and also led the praise and worship.
During the two-day training, leaders from Naga Christian Fellowship, Chennai (NCFC) as well as Naga student leaders attended the training. The team expressed their gratitude to have a get-together with the student leaders in Chennai and opined that they have come a long way in spiritual upliftment and assured to constantly pray for their well-being.
The Naga leaders also expressed their gratitude for the fruitful training and said that they were blessed by the training. “It was a great learning experience” said Senthanro and Mharoni, participants. More than 50 Naga leaders attended the training.
Meanwhile, Wapangtoshi, pastor, NCFC and Ezewe Mekrisuh, president, NSUC in a release informed a joint meeting of NCFC and Naga Students’ Union, Chennai (NSUC) on July 6, resolved not to take any responsibility of NCFC and NSUC non members. In view of such, the fellowship and the union informed any students or working people who come to stay in Chennai should register their names.
It also resolved that firm action would be taken against those who indulge in unwanted or illegal activities and thereby marring the name of the Nagas in Chennai and in general.
With this in view, the Naga leaders who attended the training also decided to move forward in uplifting the welfare of the Naga people staying in Chennai and to contribute its way toward a better Naga society.
