A Special Investigating Team (SIT) led by DIG (CID), SP Peren, DCP Chümoukedima and SP (Border) visited Lamhainamdi on Tuesday visited the November 7 incident site.
Police said the SIT has taken over the two cases registered at Jalukie police station and Chümoukedima police station, to conduct free and fair investigation of the November 7 incident.
The SIT, which is headed by IGP Range, visited the scene of crime at Lamhai Namdi to take up necessary measures for carrying out further investigation. Accordingly a case has been registered at State Crime Police State, PHQ Kohima.
