Sivakarthikeyan Productions Warns Fake Casting Agents of Legal Action

Chennai, May 8 (IANS): Actor Sivakarthikeyan’s production house has issued a strong warning against fraudulent casting agents misusing its name, clarifying that it has not appointed any directors, coordinators, casting agents or third‑party representatives for casting activities related to its current or upcoming projects. In a statement shared on social media, Sivakarthikeyan Productions urged the public to disregard WhatsApp messages, emails, calls or posts claiming otherwise, stressing that any misuse of its name will invite legal action. The company emphasized that official casting calls will only be announced through its verified social media handles.

The alert highlights a growing problem across the film industry, with several leading production houses facing similar scams. Recently, Aashirvad Cinemas, Mythri Movie Makers, Raaj Kamal Films International and Neelam Productions all cautioned the public about fraudulent audition communications circulated by unauthorized persons. These companies clarified that they had not engaged any agents for casting and warned that legal proceedings would be initiated against impersonators. Posters and public notices were issued to remind aspiring actors that official announcements would only come through verified channels.

Industry leaders say the rise of fake casting calls poses serious risks to aspiring actors and professionals, who may be misled into sharing personal information or making payments to fraudsters. Production houses have urged the public to remain vigilant, check only official handles for casting updates, and report suspicious accounts. With multiple high‑profile studios now issuing warnings, the industry is stepping up efforts to protect its reputation and safeguard talent from exploitation.
