Six UTPs escape from Mon district jail

Six under trial prisoners/convicted persons escaped from Mon district on Sunday afternoon. Sources informed Nagaland Post that out of the six prisoners, one was reportedly an ULFA cadre.

An FIR has been registered, even as all security forces have been alerted and attempts are out to nab the prisoners.

Meanwhile, a look out notice has also been issued to report to the following– OC Mon 8118997755/9436014444, OC Tizit- 7630856828, OC Aboi- 8787887985, OC Naginimora- 9862555552, OC Tobu- 7380771165 and OC Angjangyang- 8731053375. 

According to the notice the six UTPs have been identified as Bikash Gogoi (20 Yrs) resident of Sonari, Assam; Leishe Konyak (24) from Tizit; Daniel Konyak (20) from Mon town; Nokyon Konyak (31) from Longting village; Manpha Konyal (31) from Tizit; Achoi Wangsu (35) from Arunachal Pradesh and R/O Tizit village.

More details could not be obtained till the time of filing this report.
