SJC confers awards to 9 graduates

St. Joseph’s College, Jakhama on the occasion of Graduation Day Friday conferred awards to nine graduates, who have excelled in various subjects and stream.  Besides this, mementos were also presented to the 305 graduates. 
The best graduate, Governor’s Gold Medal was bagged by Mharhomo V. Murry.  Chikrophuyo Memorial Award went to ChiangmongKhiamniungan, Avica Achumi Memorial Award to Sharon Khing,Alumni Association Award to Lairing DauJigdung, YouthNet Award to Rakovi Rova, Best Science Student Award to Duangailung Kamei, APJ Abdul Kalam Award to Kezhaleno Sale, Dr. TalimerenAo Award to Rakokhrulu Krocha and Mahatma Gandhi Award to Vikali Aye.  The programme was graced by NLA speaker Chotisuh Sazo. 
In his address to the graduates, Sazo congratulated the graduates and appreciated the college for imparting quality education to the people. 
He mentioned about JK Rowling and Steve Jobs who have had great difficulties in life and yet the world has Harry Potter and Apple Company due to their work. He therefore called upon the graduates to explore their talents so that our rich bio-diversity could be tapped for resourceful purpose. 
He also exhorted the students to be the best in next chapters of their lives. Principal of the college, Fr. Dr. Sebastian Ousepparampil also exhorted the students. 
The outing going graduates mesmerized the audience with their re-mixed number in the end. The programme concluded with the college Anthem.
Earlier, divine invocation was implored by the Jesus Youth Association, followed by Welcome song presented by Peter and friends.
