SJC freshers’ & college festival

Students of St. John College (SJC) celebrated its Freshers’-&-College Festival on August 16, at the college premises, under the theme “Earn while you Learn”.

The day began with a welcoming program for the freshers hosted by Kewimesin Nriame. Resident pastor Toshi Imchen pronounced the opening prayer.

Managing director, Temsurenla, in her message, drew attention to the student’s overall development through courage, determination and hard work.

She stated that the world was calling for a person who really thought well of themselves and encouraged everyone to find their identity, and to inculcate in themselves the value of doing things differently to succeed in life. Highlights of the program included a prayer for freshers, special performance by seniors and introduction of freshers.

Later, benediction prayer was proposed by Kamlubuibo, English department.

The college festival was held for the first time with games, music, food, craft and photo booth stalls run by the students, thus giving them an opportunity to develop some entrepenurial skills.

The day was especially marked with an evening concert by renowned musician Alobo Naga.
