SJC Jakhama ‘annual college week’ concludes

St Joseph’s College Jakhama held its annual college week from January 25 to 30. The event was flagged off by brigadier Cheema at the opening ceremony on January 25 with the lighting of the torch.
A number of games and sports were held, ranging from athletics and group items, including dance, duet and fancy dress competitions. Divided into eight houses, there was real competition of talent and capability. The highlight of the weeklong programme was the cultural day held on January 29, wherein Mr. and Miss Josephite were chosen after a tough vying for the crown. Anthony Touthang of 6th Semester was crowned Mr. Josephite and Miss Josephite was won by Areni of 2nd semester.  The annual cultural day is held with the objective to promote and inculcate cultural values and establish peace, harmony and prosperity in the society, informed the college.
