SJU holds FDW on AI enabled teaching

DIMAPUR: Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of St. Joseph University (SJU), Chümoukedima, organised a two day Faculty Development Workshop (FDW) on the theme “AI Tools with Smart Teaching Practices” on June 29 and 30.
According to a press release, the inaugural address was delivered by Chancellor Very Rev. Fr. Dr. J. E. Arul Raj, who underscored the growing importance of Artificial Generative AI in education. He highlighted practical applications of tools such as Google Translate, stressing that language should no longer be a barrier to learning and communication. He urged educators to embrace emerging technologies to create inclusive learning environments and continuously upgrade their skills. The technical sessions on the first day were conducted by Dr. Nagaraju Baydeti, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science, National Institute of Technology (NIT), Nagaland. The second day sessions were led by Dr. Uzzal Sharma, Assistant Professor and Head, Department of Computer Science, Birangana Sati Sadhani Rajyik Vishwavidyalaya, Assam.
