DIMAPUR: St. Joseph University (SJU) organised its Students’ Induction Programme 2026 on July 8 and 9, 2026 to formally welcome the newly admitted undergraduate batch.
The inaugural session began with invocation by Rev. Sr. Dr. Thianes Mary DMI, followed by a welcome address from Dr. A. Robert Xavier, Registrar, who congratulated students and highlighted the Four Year Undergraduate Programme under UGC guidelines, stressing the importance of education, vocational learning and internships.
Alumna Sentinaro Pongen, Crown Director, Vestige Marketing Pvt. Ltd., shared her entrepreneurial journey, while special guest Tongpang L Jamir, State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, urged students to embrace technology, pursue innovation and entrepreneurship, and contribute towards building a Viksit Bharat.
The session was graced by a presidential address from Dr. D. Gnanadurai, Vice Chancellor, and featured a welcome song by the Department of Economics, a presentation by the JMC Department, and a vote of thanks by Dr. Debojit Konwar, Head, Department of Economics.
