SJU observes ‘International Charity Day’

Department of History St. Joseph university observed “International charity day” on September 5, at the university premise initiated by the undergraduate first-semester students. Assistant Professor, department of History Shinatoli V Shohe, who addressed the gathering, emphasised the significance of International Charity Day and also the broader scope of charity. She pointed out that charity was not solely about materialistic aid; but encompasses physical and voluntary effort, underlined by a genuine desire to aid and contribute to societal welfare.


Shohe also highlighted the “dignity of labour”, praising the supporting staff for their relentless effort in maintaining a clean and hygienic campus environment. Students were also urged to uphold cleanliness and treat the staff with the respect and high morale they deserve. The occasion was co-ordinated by Assistant Professor department of History, Kevino Krose.
