Skill development on tailoring for rural women

The second phase, weeklong short-term Skill Development Training on Tailoring for Rural Women, under Skill Development for Rural Women through Mobile Skill Morung was launched at Wozhuro Headquarter, under Wokha on August 5, with Additional Director, department of Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (ESDE), Savio Visa, as the special guest.


According to a DIPR report, Visa, speaking on behalf of the department, encouraged trainees to take the training seriously for self employment. They were also asked to help the range people by starting their own self-employed tailor shops in the village.


He further requested village council to support logistically and monitor their performance in various capacities as they start the venture. Village Council Chairman (VCC), Meriyan Village, Alow Khuvung, delivered a short speech on behalf of Wozhuro Range Village Council Union, while chairman, Wozhuro Range Council Union (WRCU), Yanbemo Tungu, pronounced the closing remark. The report further informed that 25 trainees from various villages under Wozhuro range enrolled for the said programme.
