Life Connect and Old Age Home Meriema organised a skill development program at Old Age Home Meriema on August 30. The skill development training program was aimed at equipping the residents with useful skills that can help them generate income and enhance their overall well-being.
At the event, chairperson, Good Samaritan Society, Old Age Home Managing Director Neithonuo Legiesie expressed gratitude to LifeConnect for accepting their offer and partnering with them in organizing the event.
She said the collaboration will give hope to the residents and the potential to make their lives more meaningful.
She also emphasized the importance of giving hope and encouragement to the residents.
Director LifeConnect, Sali Ngully in her short speech said that God has blessed the senior citizens with a long life and that they have resources hidden in them and with years of experience, they can guide and mentor the younger people. She therefore said elders should be able to give Godly advice to people.
In the introduction and overview, Lifeconnect coordinator Charemnaro mentioned that LifeConnect Nagaland was a Christian organization that works with marginalized and vulnerable women to empower them towards spiritual, social, economic and emotional well-being. She said LifeConnect has been working with under-privileged and marginalized women to empower them.
