
Emporium Skill Training Institute (ESTI) conducted a Skill Development Training & Recruitment program under the PMKVY Scheme of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Government of India, at Town Hall Tuensang on January 4. It was organized in collaboration with empanelled training partner of Employment, Skill Development Entrepreneurship and government of Nagaland.
A DIPR report stated that the inaugural session was attended by minister of Environment Forest & Climate Change, and Parliamentary Affairs, C.M. Chang; advisor to I&PR, SCERT Village Guards and chairman DP&DB Tuensang, Toshi Wungtung; tribal leaders and other dignitaries along with aspiring candidates.
Speaking on the occasion, Chang lamented the growing unemployment scenario of the State. He welcomed the aspiring candidates attending the program and called upon them to derive the maximum benefit from such programs.
He also encouraged aspiring youth to learn from such skill development trainings and broaden their mindsets.
Toshi Wungtung, in his speech, emphasized on human development through skill development programs where he highlighted the government’s focus on minimizing unemployment problems.
He asked the Emporium Skill dignitaries to take proper note of loopholes in the course implementation so that parents may have no qualms about sending their children to the training.
Anirban Mukerjee, operations manager (India & international) Emporium Skills, in his keynote address, gave a briefing on the program, training procedures and on placement after the training.
The program was led by L. Jamithung Lotha, Deputy Commissioner Tuensang and a vote of thanks was given by Pakon Phom, SDO (C) Tuensang.
