Skill development training at Longkhum village

Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Mokokchung organised a three-day skill development training programme at Longkhum village from August 22-24, 2024.


The training was held on the topic “Post Harvest management and value addition of fruits and vegetables” under the 100 Days Action Plan of KVKs for rural youth.


At the training programme, ACTO (horticulture) Khekali Sema deliberated on the importance and benefits of post-harvest management and value addition of fruits and vegetable. During the three-day programme, hands on training sessions were conducted on preparation of various products like Mango jam, papaya jam, green chilli pickle, ginger candy, tomato sauce, pineapple RTs etc by ACTO (horticulture) and Moaienla (technical officer) KVK Mokokchung. Altogether, 25 participants attended the training programme.


The three-day training was aimed at imparting skill-based training to rural youth in post-harvest management and value addition of fruits and vegetable.
