Around 50 youths were imparted skills training on plumping, tiling and masonary works at the week-long skill development programme in construction sector organised by the Department of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship.
The demand driven skill development programme organized in partnership with Zynorique Initiative Society at Tamlu sub-division, Longleng came to an end on June 25.
The objective of the training was to increase in proficiency, grow skill sets, achieve task in less time with more results and to increase in performance. It also focuses to provide more employability in construction sector.
All the successful participants were awarded with certificate and working tools and machineries.
Meanwhile, the Village Council, Student Union, Church of Tamlu Town and village expressed gratitude and appreciation to Government of Nagaland, Department of Employment Skill Development & Entrepreneurship and Zynorique Initiative Society for organising the skill development programme.
One of the trainee remarked, “The skills and knowledge of plumbing, tiling, bricklaying, stone work which I have gained throughout my practical training I perceive as very valuable component in my future livelihood”.
