The valedictory and certificate distribution ceremony for state-funded project “Skill Training in Collaboration with Nagaland Police Family Welfare Association” (NPFWA) was held at Multi-Purpose Hall, 4th NAP Thizama, Kohima, on April 23.
The training was organized by the department of Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, in collaboration with the NPFWA. Advisor of Labour & Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship and Excise, Moatoshi Longkumer, who graced the ceremony as special guest, congratulated the trainees, NPFWA, and department of Employment & Skill Development for the successful completion of the project. He also commended the inauguration of Nano Garment Manufacturing Unit, at the 4th NAP Battalion, describing it as “an honor and a moment of pleasure”.
Moatoshi credited the success of the initiative to the active collaboration between NPFWA and department, and lauded DGP Rupin Sharma, for his visionary leadership and ideas inculcated for empowering and improving the lives of jawans and their family members.
Encouraging the newly trained factory workers, the advisor remarked that they were the heart of the endeavor, pointing that their dedication, patience, and willingness to learn have brought the project to life. He further asserted that the department can replicate the project in other police battalion if the project become successful.
The advisor assured that his department would continue to support similar ventures in the future, mentioning that the “Department of Employment & Skill Development is always ready to extend manpower, expertise and collaboration on future endeavors.”
The programme was chaired by director, Department of Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Savio Visa, testimony sharing by trainee, Mercy Murry, and short speech by DGP, Rupin Sharma, followed by vote of thanks by Additional Director, Zubemo Lotha Tsanglao.
