A three-day skill training program aimed at enhancing rural employment opportunities concluded on August 5 at Peren town hall.
A DIPR report informed that the programme was organized by Nagaland Khadi Village Industries Board (NKVIB) in collaboration with Glocal Concepts Nagaland to develop individuals’ skills and improve work proficiency among unemployed youth.
Addressing the participants on the inaugural day, commissioner & secretary of Industries & Commerce, IPoS, Kekhrievor Kevichusa encouraged the youth to apply the knowledge gained for income generation and commended Glocal Concepts Nagaland for their efforts in uplifting educated unemployed youths.
Kevichusa also emphasized the importance of proper attention during training and discussed the significance of bank loan applications for interested candidates who complete the training. The training program offers courses in food processing, beekeeping, upholstery, carpentry, and more.
Approximately 324 youths have registered for the three-day training.
