Skill training imparted to Humtso village

North Eastern Regional Agriculture Marketing Ltd (NERAMAC) under the ministry of DoNER, Government of India in association with Wokha District Entrepreneurship Task Force (ETF) organised a skill training programme on fruits and vegetables processing at Humtso village on September 5.


A press release from DPRO Wokha, informed that the training was graced by Y. Mhonbemo Humtsoe MLA, as special guest, where he thanked the NERAMAC and Wokha District Entrepreneurship Task Force for giving opportunity to Humtso village.


Humtsoe expressed optimism that Humtso being one of the leading producer of fruits and vegetables under the district, farmers would be benefited through the programme.
He also urged the farmers to attend the training seriously so that it would enlighten them and enhance their knowledge on production unit/sector.


Highlighting on the various government schemes and programmes initiated in rural section to lift economy status of common people, he said government was serious in implementing the schemes through different departments. He therefore urged the farmers to implement the schemes/projects judiciously to bring change in the community.
Since Humtso village has been selected as one of the aspirational villages under the district, he urged all the head of offices in the district to give their best to implement the schemes and projects earmarked for the village.


The MLA further assured the villagers that a proposal has been earmarked for construction of storage house, black topping from “O” Point Wokha town to Humtso village junction and Agri Link road in his upcoming programme.


DC, Wokha Ajit Kumar Ranjan , who is also the chairman of ETF said, that the central government as well as the state government were giving their best to implement various schemes and projects to benefit the general public.
He informed that the government was ready to assist the farmers, entrepreneurs and businessman of the district through the partnership with NERAMAC, Skill Development and ETF.


Deputy Manager, NERAMAC, Bhrigu Medhi while highlighting on the training programme said that the main objective of NERAMAC was to market the agriculture products and providing skill training on fruits and vegetables processing with the intention to provide training at three villages namely, Humtso, Phiro and Old Riphyim. He also said that after completion of the training the farmers would receive certificate. Short speeches were also delivered by Head of Offices on the implementation of various schemes.
