SKK demands immediate presence of govt officers in Zbto

DIMAPUR

The All Sumi Students’ Union (SKK) has issued a strong public statement expressing serious concern over the continued absence of Heads of Departments and government officers from their designated postings in Zunheboto district.
In a press release issued by SKK president Gihuka K. Zhimo and general secretary Toshika K. Kiba highlighted the urgency of the matter. SKK emphasized that efficient governance and timely delivery of public services are essential for the district’s development and progress. The union stated that the absence of key officials has hindered administrative functioning and delayed responses to public needs.
“This is not a request; it is a mandate from the people,” the statement read, urging all concerned officers to prioritize their responsibilities and ensure their presence in the district without further delay. SKK called for greater accountability and commitment from public servants, stressing that the citizens expect nothing less than dedicated service.
To monitor compliance, the union announced its decision to conduct periodic inspections of government offices. The findings will be made public and submitted to the appropriate authorities for necessary action against erring officials.
