SKK holds 3rd Union Assembly at Satami village

DIMAPUR

The All Sumi Union (SKK) held its 3rd union assembly for the 2024-26 tenure on May 31 at Satami village, hosted by the Eastern Sumi Students Union. According to a press release from SKK Assembly Speaker Imeka Z Awomi, the event included the unveiling of the 3rd union assembly monolith by SKK president Gihuka K Zhimo, followed by the flag hoisting by speaker Imeka Z Awomi. The attendees joined in singing the SKK anthem, fostering unity and a shared purpose. The assembly speaker along with deputy speaker Obet Zhimo, and assembly secretary Jubito Chishi welcomed representatives from 16 affiliated units of SKK. Key topics, including strong opposition to the 48-year reservation policy of the Nagaland government and updates on the development of Khelhoshe Polytechnic Atoizu (KPA) were discussed. The assembly reaffirmed its commitment to address important community concerns and promote progress.
