SKK to launch ‘Mission doing right’ in all Sumi inhabited areas

To identify corrupt practices, irregularities and “all round disorder” among the government employees, Sumi Kiphimi Kuqhakulu (SKK), the apex Sumi student body, would be launching “Mission-Doing Right” in all the Sumi inhabited areas. 
Announcing the mission, SKK in a letter to chief secretary has sought the intervention for effective enforcement of rules and ordinance framed by the government in regulating government employees and agents. 
In a press release, SKK president, Ninoto Awomi and general secretary, Vikai Yeptho said in the letter, it had highlighted five-point for perusal. Firstly, SKK has urged upon the chief secretary to intimate district administration Zunheboto to maintain attendance record in the DPDB meeting, so that absentees without legally valid reasons should be strictly dealt according to the relevant rules. It demanded that district HODs deputing sub-ordinate officers to represent the departments in the DPDB meeting should be brought under control.
Head of different administrative units– EACs, SDO (C) and Additional Deputy Commissioners should be directly answerable to government on irregularities of various departments incharge within their respective jurisdiction.
It demanded that any government employees within Sumi inhabited areas irrespective of rank found indulging in corrupted practices identified by SKK with sufficient proof be penalized strictly in accordance with the relevant rules without leniency. 
SKK also demanded that genuine grievances of the government employees deserving due cares, identified in course of the mission should be viewed with seriousness.
SKK said that the contemplate object of the mission was to remind the government employees/agents, the importance of discharging their duties and responsibilities with sincerity and dedication as desired by the government for the welfare of the public. 
The signatories said that the dedicated effort of the students’ community would yield productive outcome only when the mission is reciprocated by stringent follow up action. 
Further assuring fullest co-operation in ensuring the established rules of the government enforced without fair or favor within all Sumi inhabited areas, the SKK expressed hope that the above points should be perused and prompt necessary action initiated, so that the joint venture of the government and the students’ community could bring positive changes.
