Kohima Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) would be undertaking an exercise to issue Smart Photo Identity Cards to traders under its jurisdiction.
In a press release, KCCI information and publicity secretary said the exercise would be carried out to maintain a Digital Database of the trading community of Kohima as endorsed by district administration and approval of Kohima Municipal Council (KMC).
In this regard, KMC would not be renewing or issuing any new trade licenses for 2016-2017 and beyond to applicants who do not possess valid Smart Photo ID Cards issued by KCCI. KCCI therefore, has asked all traders to register for the Smart Photo ID Cards w.e.f., March 5.
All those who already had their trade licenses renewed or issued for 2016-2017 and beyond have also been directed to contact KCCI office to register for the same within 30 (thirty) days from the date of this notification by producing supporting documents.
