SMD informs on activities for WED

Along with the rest of the world, Nagaland will also observe “World Environment Day” (WED) on June 5 under the theme, “Celebrate biodiversity”. 

A press release from state mission director (SMD), Kevileno Angami has informed that, school heads and youth & Eco Clubs in charge have been be directed to coordinate the activities  for plantation of trees/fruit trees/flowers in school compound or wherever feasible viz village road, own compound, public parks around local ground etc. They are also informed to sent reports containing video clips, photos and number of trees planted to respective district education office (DEO). Further DMAs shall compile the reports and mail to spdnagaland@yahoo.com by June 10.

The release also stated that, while carrying out the above activities, social distancing and the SOPs prescribed by the government should be strictly observed. DEOs are also directed to refer letter dated September 27, 2019 for follow up programmes.
