SN asks NSCN (I-M) to clarify on recruitment of non-Nagas

Survival Nagaland (SN) while expressing shock over the arrest of another non-Naga cadre of NSCN (I-M) has asked the latter to clarify on recruitment of non-Nagas in the “Naga fight for freedom”
In a press release, SN media cell quoted the recent report of arrest of one Abdul Hasim, raja peyu of NSCN (I-M) by Assam Rifles and demanded to know how a “non-Naga of doubtful origins” could be appointed as a raja peyu in the “Naga fight for freedom”. It expressed shock of non-Nagas holding posts in NSCN (I-M) in spite of the “hue and cry and condemnation by the general Naga public of having such people in the Naga National movement”.
SN also pointed out that it had earlier sought a clarification from the NSCN (I-M) on the arrest of two “tax collectors” – Kabir Ahmed, and Nazmul Islam.  Further, SN has asked NSCN (I-M) to clarify on the arrest of the three non-Nagas and “clear doubts in the minds of the Naga public whether the Nagas’ unique identity of being a different race and culture would be affected, lest we are made to worship these people as our National Freedom Fighters in the years to come.”
SN added “it would greatly dilute the unique history of the Nagas and the blood of the Naga fore-fathers who selflessly sacrificed their blood for the land and its culture.”
