Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan (SNSPA) campaign, launched on September 17 at District Hospital Dimapur, is currently underway across Dimapur, Niuland and Chumoukedima districts, and will continue till October 2.
A total of 62 Health Units (HUs) are participating in the campaign, offering free medical services and awareness programmes focused on female beneficiaries and children. Services include health check-ups, distribution of medicines, and screenings for communicable and non-communicable diseases.
Specialist services were made available at Community Health Centres (CHCs), Primary Health Centres (PHCs), and Health & Wellness Centres (HWCs/AHWCs). The RBSK team also conducted SNSPA activities in nine government schools, eight Anganwadi centres, and one free heart screening camp in collaboration with Apollo Hospital, Chennai. Health talks formed an integral part of the campaign, covering topics such as menstrual hygiene, anaemia, nutrition, and antenatal care. Free blood tests—including hemoglobin, viral markers, Typidot, malarial and blood sugar—were conducted. Sanitary pads and IFA tablets were distributed to promote menstrual health and prevent anaemia. In support of the TB Mukt Abhiyan, the campaign also focused on tuberculosis screening and expanding the pool of Nikshay Mitras. Routine immunization services were provided to safeguard children against preventable diseases. As part of the Poshan Maah initiative, informational materials and nutritional supplements were distributed. Efforts were also made to facilitate ABHA and CMHIS/AB PMJAY registrations. Campaign activities are being monitored online with daily reports from participating health units.
