Songaror Horam and Tshoteü Khutso win Mr and Miss Patkai

Songaror Horam and Tshoteü Khutso emerged at the winners of Mr and Miss Patkai title respectively during the Freshers’ Social 2023, themed “Celebrating Youth,” organised by Students’ Union Patkai Christian College at Bundrock Chapel Hall on September 16.


Seisanglen Hengna and Khawungla Shanglai were declared the runners-up in the run for the titles.
Seisanglen Hengna and Nningpoile were recognized as the most outstanding contestants in the multimedia category.


In the quest for perfection, Tsulenthong P. and Tshoteü Khutso were awarded Mr. Perfect 10 and Ms. Perfect 10, respectively. A total of 24 contestants vied for the coveted titles.
A prominent artiste, Abdon Mech also mesmerized the crowd with his performance.
TJ Vero, Reuben and Friends, Fusion Lovers, Lovikali Yepthomi, Thelor Ngam, and The 1974 band enthralled the audience.


Mr. Kohima 2022 (Mega Mister Northeast 2023), Vihuzo Kense; Nagaland Exotic Hunt Season 2 winner, Kalitoli Yepthomi, Miss Teen Northeast India 2023, Miss Earth Nagaland 2022, Miss Empowerment of Nagaland 2022, Miss ANCSU 2022 runners-up, Imjungwatila were the judges for the ‘Mr. and Miss Patkai’ pageant.
The event’s cultural richness was on display with a special musical performance by Vipito Swu, followed by an insightful speech by Vineivoü Nipu, representing the education department.


The event was graced by president of the Regional People’s Party (RPP), Joel Naga, as special guest. He reminded the students about the legacy of Patkai community and encouraged freshers to aspire to make a meaningful impact in the state and country.


Joel asserted that as youths of Nagaland, one should strive to bring positive change in the state adding that their capability is enough to push them through and said that it is one’s legacy that defines a person.


Vice-principal Dr. R Peseyie welcomed the new students and expressed hope that their stay in campus be a memorable one. President of Student Union of Patkai Christian College, Elow Chaste welcomed the guests, distinguished judges, and esteemed invitees.


Earlier, Rev. Dr. Vichükho Ngukha, invoked blessings for the gathering while Duranchi B Marak, expressed gratitude to all who contributed to the event’s success.
The event concluded with a closing prayer by general secretary of the EU, Megosieto Vüpru.
