Special health camp held at Kohima

Kohima District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) High School Ward Adoption Committee under 10th Northern Angami A/C organized a special health camp in collaboration with NHAK at Multipurpose Hall, RGHSS Kohima on August 3 with deputy commissioner (DC) Kohima and vice chairman DPDB Kohima, Rovilatuo Mor IAS as chief guest. 
According to DIPR report, Rovilatuo stated that any issues relating to health requires priority attention as ‘health is wealth’. He said that awareness on healthcare was important in the present context as countless numbers of sickness and new diseases have been increasingly affecting all social economy life including health condition due to significant changes in ecological status year by year. 
Stating that ‘our’ forefathers were healthier, stronger and live longer probably because of their lifestyle depending on their own food products, water from original sources, Rovilatuo opined that such lifestyle has been diminishing with increasing dependency on processed food products leading to various health problems. 
He therefore reminded the gathering generate a sense of awareness in order to maintain better health, sanitation, environment in the colony as well as the society in general. 
He expressed optimism that such endeavor would go a long way to cater the needs of the needy and urged everyone to avail the opportunity free of cost.
DC also appreciated the High School Ward Adoption Committee for organizing the health camp and various ward leaders for their cooperation.
High School Ward Adoption Committee Convenor, KethosituoSekhose, SDO (Sadar) earlier gave a brief introduction on the system of the Ward Adoption Committee under DPDB Kohima. 
He said that the aims and objectives of the health camp were to ensure that the departments and the district administration reach out to all needy people. He also informed that the health camp was sponsored by parliamentary secretary for Youth Resources & Sports and Lotteries, Khriehu Liezietsu where doctors and nurses from NHAK contributed their free services.  A special team of specialist doctors and nurses from NHAK lead by Dr. Abei K. Angami (HOD) including Dr. Vanvlalrauti (medicine specialist), Dr. Tewekhro, Dr. Neiphrezo, Dr. Sedengulie (HOD), Dr. Bernard Amer, Dr. Imotemsu, Dr. Rüütuoü (HOD), Dr. Kedozeto Punyu (HOD) and Dr. Zhimatho conducted free consultation and check-ups in Gynaecology, ENT, Medicine, Surgery, Paediatric to all the visitors who attended the camp. The visitors were also offered free medicine during the camp
The team leader from NHAK, Dr. Abei K. Angami (HOD) Gynaecology also spoke on the occasion while vice chairman, High School Panchayat (HSP), PudusülLuho, invoked God’s blessing and chairman, HSP, Zasilhulie Zumvü delivered vote of thanks. More than 600 patients suffering from various diseases benefited during the camp.
