Bor Lengri Lotha Baptist Church (BLLBC), Dimapur organised a special programme for menfolk at its church premises on Friday under the theme Genesis 1:27. A total of 73 men participated in the event. Delivering the message, BLLBC pastor Rev. Y Arhonthung Odyuo, highlighted the growing attendance at the yearly event, reflecting increased spiritual engagement among the community. Drawing from the story of Adam’s creation, the pastor stressed that every individual is uniquely created with specific responsibilities. He reminded the gathering that man was made to represent God on earth and encouraged the participants to live with purpose, not just for themselves but as leaders and representatives in their families, church, and society. He urged the men to be counsellors, mentors, and advisors with integrity, and emphasised that nurturing a relationship with God would enable them to uplift their communities and nation. He also encouraged reflection on spiritual journeys and personal influence.
Former deacon of BLLBC, N. Zankhomo Jami, spoke on the spiritual and familial role of men, describing village founding as both a physical and spiritual calling. Referencing scriptures from Genesis and the story of Job, he reminded men of their God-given strength—not just physical, but spiritual—and their responsibility to intercede in prayer for their children.
Jami stated that leadership was not based on strength, wealth, or knowledge but on prayerful commitment and spiritual guidance. “We are all part of God’s purpose,” he said, calling on men to stand firm in faith and lead families with integrity and prayer. He also referenced Messiah 2:7, urging men to act as spiritual protectors and examples for generations to come. Invocation prayer was proposed by deacon Alow Tsopoe, Bible reading by ex-usher Ralamo Mozhui, and the programme concluded with a mass prayer led by deacon Nsemo Ngullie.
