Directorate of field publicity, ministry of information and broadcasting, Government of India, Tuensang organized a special outreach programme on RMNCH+A with special focus on Mission Indradhanush, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Population Stabilisation, Anaemia on adolescent girls at Noksen town on February 27 with SDO Civil, Noksen sub-division, Imsen Pirong as the chief guest.
Addressing the gathering, chief guest emphasized on the need for all mothers to be in good health so as to take care of the health of her children.
Medical officer, Noksen CHC, Sangba Chang also spoke during the programme.
The programme also witnesses healthy baby contest in the category of (0-2) years, where baby Sangtemsonla, baby Mosha and baby Songmaichila were adjudged first, second and third. A public rally was also organized and publicity materials like T-shirts were also distributed.
The same special outreach programme was also organized on February 26 at Litem village.
MON: A similar programme was also held in Mon at Chenwetnyu village on February 27 with Dr. Shockwang, MO, PHC, Chen town as resource person.
Dr. Shockwang encouraged the gathering to maintain at least two years gap between children, for the health of both Child and for mother.
FPO, DEP, Mon, Mathew SK Begam while giving a brief introduction of the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Field Publicity said it was a ministry that worked as a bridge between government and people from grass root level.
Welcome address was delivered by chairman Village Council, PM Nockpai. Hingkai Konyak, BPM, NHM, Mon Sardar spoke on proper immunization and ANC check up.
Vote of thanks was delivered by VDB secretary Chenwetnyu village, T. Wangnyiem.
Healthy Baby Show in the category of 0- 2 years was organized and selected on the bases of ANC check up of a mother and immunization of a child on time, and was awarded a prize and a certificate.
A public rally was also organized on the same theme. T- Shirt were also distributed to all the mothers present
