
Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), District Mission Authority (DMA), Zunheboto organized a community mobilization training on May 31 and June 1 at VDB hall Zunheboto.
According to DIPR report, in the first session of the inaugural programme, administrative officer, Litsen Kikon, EAC Zunheboto urged all the representatives to be sincere in materializing the government’s initiative of “Right To Education” (RTE). Further, he expressed concern over the ill effects of current practice of proxy teacher dangerously plaguing the Naga society. Earlier, in her keynote address, Sekhonulu Thingo, senior SDEO Zunheboto expressed her views on the nobility of a teacher’s job, which could yield blessings if performed with utmost sincerity and dedication.
Second session saw Elitoli Assumi speaking on SDMIS/CAL and the role of SMC/SMDC by Inato Jakha asst. district co-ordinator. On the second day, briefings on RTE/RAA/IED/RH by Huqheto Chishi; Midday meal by Bokaho Jimo, AEO Zunheboto, Shaala Sidhi/LO by Kahili, TOT and the final topics of training on accounts maintenance and auditing was delivered by Uketo Yepthomi, Acct (SSA) MDAZ.
The programme was attended by teachers, VEC chairmen, GBs, village council members, ZAPO members, women organizations, student bodies etc.
