Reacting sharply to the PDA cabinet’s claim that salaries of its employees, especially to teachers were being disbursed in timely manner, the Aggrieved SSA Teachers’ Association Dimapur (2010 & 2013) said that they have not received their salary since September 2018 and had never received salary on timely manner.
Terming it as “sheer mockery” for making such claims when teachers numbering in thousands have been denied their hard earned salary, the association maintained that the promises and assurances given to them such as salary with 7th ROP and inclusion into the state cadre was yet to be fulfilled. With the new academic session in place, the teachers urged the government to look in to their grievances in order to provide full cooperation and service.
