SSP holds elocution competition on Indian Army

Sainik School Punglwa (SSP) organised Inter House Elocution Competition on the theme, “Role of Indian Army in Nation Building” on December 2.


The event was part of the initiative taken by 3 Corps, Rangapahar under the banner Pedalling Patriots 1971 Liberation Spin an endeavour to honour and pay homage to the fallen heroes of the Indo-Park War of 1971.


The team was welcomed by the vice principal of the school on behalf of Col Arvind Nautiyal, the principal, Sainik School Punglwa, Nagaland.


The competition was organised both for junior Houses and Senior Houses. Melak House and Japfu House bagged the first position in the junior and senior category respectively.
The cadets who had bagged the top positions would be honoured in a function that will be organised at 3 Corps Military Station, Rangapahar on December 4.


Meanwhile, as part of the same event, Maj Sachin Dagar gave a motivational lecture to the cadets of the prospects of joining the Indian Army. This was stated in a press release issued by SSP.
