SSPN holds 33rd LBA meeting

DIMAPUR: Sainik School Punglwa (SSPN) held its 33rd Local Board of Administration (LBA) meeting at the school premises on July 10, 2026 under the chairmanship of Major General Naveen Kumar Nijhawan, YSM, Chief of Staff, Spear Corps, and chairman of the LBA, in the presence of S Supongmeren Jamir, Lok Sabha MP.
The meeting was attended by Peren Deputy Commissioner Hiazu Meru; Dr. Ingudam Shakuntala, Dean, CoVSC & AH Jalukie; Er. G. Vikhepu Yeptho, Executive Engineer, PWD (Housing), Education Division; Khriesano Nagi, Joint Director & Nodal Officer, Directorate of School Education; Er. Vikhrielie Seleyi, representative of Superintending Engineer, PWD (Housing); Er. Renilo Nuh, president, SSPA; K. Kapfo, principal JNV Jalukie; and Capt. Rajendra Prasad, AGE E/M, MES.
Convened in the school’s conference hall, the session featured a comprehensive briefing by principal Col (Dr) Smita Misra, who highlighted key achievements and strategic initiatives undertaken over the past year. Her presentation covered ongoing infrastructure projects, measures to enhance academic and NDA performance, holistic cadet development programmes, and forthcoming developmental blueprints.
The Board thoroughly reviewed the school’s progress and offered guidance to further accelerate academic excellence, refine cadet development, and augment campus infrastructure.
Chairman Nijhawan appreciated the good work of the institution and urged all stakeholders to continue contributing towards the betterment of the school in their respective domains. In her closing remarks, the principal expressed gratitude to the Chairman, the State Government, and LBA members for their unwavering support and contributions to SSPN’s growth.
