SSPN seeks CM support for key institutional needs

A joint delegation comprising principal of Sainik School Punglwa (SSPN), executive members of the Old Boys’ Association (OBA) Nagaland Chapter, and the Parents-Teachers Association (PTA) called on Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on Saturday to discuss pressing requirements for the institution’s progress and welfare.
The delegation sought the appointment of a full-time doctor to ensure timely medical care for cadets, provision of 100% scholarships for cadets from Nagaland to promote inclusivity, and enhanced Grant-in-Aid to support ongoing and future infrastructure development.
Discussions were held in a constructive manner with focus on strengthening academic excellence, upgrading residential facilities, and ensuring holistic development of cadets. The Chief Minister gave a patient hearing, appreciated the collaborative efforts of the school administration, alumni and parents, and assured that the Government would take necessary action on the issues raised.
Meanwhile, the delegation expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for his time, encouragement and positive assurance, reaffirming their commitment to work closely with the Government for the continued growth and excellence of the institution.
The delegation included Dr. (Col) Smita Misra, principal SSPN; H.K. Khulu, president OBA Nagaland Chapter; Er. Levi Rengma and Yangba Konyak, vice presidents OBA; Zubemo Lotha Tsanglao, general secretary OBA; along with other OBA members and PTA representatives led by Er. Renilo Nuh (president), Alee Longchar (general secretary) and Hetoi Sema. They expressed appreciation to the Chief Minister for his continued support and encouragement towards the betterment of the only Sainik School in Nagaland.
