St Francis Xavier Catholic Church Kidima with rest of the world celebrated New Year 2022 cum Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God with reverend father Mathai, Parish Priest of Mao, Manipur as main celebrant from the church premises.
Referring to St Paul, Father Mathai said that all human beings were the son of God. “People who denied Mary as the Mother of God was a great mistake”, Parish Priest added. Fr Mathai said that Jesus was in nature of human and divine. Epiphany solemnly was celebrated on January 2, 2022 where Magi took place in Bethlehem 2000 years ago. Fr Mathai addressing in the occasion added that Epiphany was the significant of the Lord. He appealed the faithful to strengthen faith with the words of God. Jesus is the light and asked to enlighten through Eucharist celebration, Father added. Dark was the sin so he urged to overcome with light that Jesus forgive people’s sins through confession, Parish Priest said. Special prayer was offered to newly elected Church leaders. Enchanting of gloria, reading the words of God, sharing of joy and happiness were the highlights of the sacred feast.
