St. John College (SJC) on August 7 conducted two webinars, under the themes “contemporary cinema and the portrayal of the youth”, and “historic day of swadeshi movement”.
In a press release, SJC informed that bollywood film-maker, writer and director, Shashank S Singh was the resource person.
The speaker talked about how cinema was the mirror image of any society and in order to understand youth of different decades, they needed to watch movies of those times.
The programme was moderated by assistant professor, English department, Temjentula Pongener and introduction of the speaker was addressed by assistant professor and HOD, English department, Inakali Assumi.
Meanwhile, department of History welcomed Dr. MN Razvi of R D S College, Muzaffarpur on for his lecture on “Swadeshi & self-reliance in the 21st century”.
