St John College launches ‘two-wheeler club’

Commemorating “World Motorcycle Day”, St John College, Dimapur launched its “two-wheeler club” on June 21 under the banner, “every ride is a tiny holiday”.

In a press release, the college informed that a brief virtual programme was organised with founding member and president of Nagaland Motorcycle Club Kohima, Peter Rutsa as guest speaker.

Rutsa appreciated the college for launching the club and also advised the students to wear proper gears and to be cautious while riding two wheelers.

Club coordinator, assistant professor (political science),Anato G. Swu informed the participants that the club was formed to provide a platform for students to enhance their personal and social skills.

He said the club would provide opportunities to students to enjoy their college life while giving equal importance to their studies.

Principal of the college, S. T. Jenetius shared his experiences with motorcycles while encouraging the students and faculty to be a part of the club.

Earlier during the programme, invocation was pronounced by Mhonbemo M Kikon, vote of thanks was delivered by Arenpola and benediction by ThiuthiuboPama.
