University Grants Commission (UGC) has granted autonomous status to St Joseph’s College Jakhama affiliated to Nagaland University. According to a DIPR report, the standing committee, on the basis of the report of the UGC Expert Committee, at its meeting on September 20, 2018 decided to grant autonomous status to St. Joseph’s College, Jakhama for a period of ten years w.e.f. 2018- 2019 to 2027- 2028 under the UGC Scheme for Autonomous Colleges.
