
St. Joseph University (SJU), Dimapur signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ICAR – National Research Institute (ICAR-NRI) on Mithun, Medziphema, on November 1.
In a press release, SJU informed that the MoU was signed by the ICAR director, Dr. Meraj Haider Khan and SJU vice chancellor, Dr. D. Gnanadurai in the presence of SJU registrar Dr. A. Anthonisan, ICAR scientist Dr. Sapunii Stephen Hanah, SJU deputy registrar Rev. Sr. M. Thaines Mary, SJU PRO Rev. Fr. L. Savariappan, scientists from ICAR and HoDs of various departments.
The signing was coordinated by head of department, Botany, Dr. K. S. Nidhees.
SJU informed that the MOU would facilitate collaboration in the broad area of animal science, enable the post graduate and Ph.D students to carry out quality research under the guidance of scientists from ICAR and participate in training programmes organised by ICAR.
Theassociation was aimed at benefitting the student community and to support the development of Nagaland state in the field of higher education.
