St. Joseph University, Chümou hosts Tekne Fest 2025

St. Joseph University, Chümoukedima, buzzed with excitement as it hosted Tekne Fest 2025, a vibrant two-day techno-cultural extravaganza held on the September 25 and 26. The event was organized by department of computer science, under the theme “From Sparks to Breakthrough”, bringing together students from across departments to celebrate innovation, collaboration, and creativity.
In his keynote address, Controller of Examinations (COE), Dr. S. Thiyagarajan emphasized on the transformative role of computer science in the modern world. He encouraged students to seize platforms like Tekne Fest to showcase their skills and ideas, underscoring the importance of innovation in shaping the future.
The event witnessed a vibrant mix of technical events, including coding challenges, hackathons, and robotics displays, alongside cultural showcases such as music, dance, and art competitions. The fest provided a platform for students to blend technical prowess with creative expression, truly living up to its theme.
The celebration culminated in the Prize Distribution Ceremony, where winners of various events were recognized for their outstanding performances.
Earlier, the event kicked off with an invocation by Sr. Elite, followed by a welcome address from head of the department of computer science, P. Vevekanandan. A brief introduction to Tekne Fest was presented by Rohit while the vote of thanks was delivered by Kengimheing Nampeung. The anchor for the event was Anushka Das.
