St. Joseph’s College holds FDP on AI in academia

DIMAPUR: St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous), Jakhama, through its Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and Research and Development Cell (RDC), organised a five day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “AI Powered Academia: Managerial Skills and Teaching Learning & Research Strategies” from July 3 to 7, 2026.
The programme aimed to equip faculty members with knowledge and practical skills to integrate Artificial Intelligence into teaching, research, assessment and academic administration.
Eminent resource persons from North Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong, District Mental Health Programme (NHAK), Kohima, and St. Aloysius (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru conducted the sessions.
The FDP covered a wide range of topics including AI powered teaching strategies, AI tools for research and publications, student mentoring and mental health, formative assessment, prompt engineering, AI assisted assessment design and the ethical use of AI in academia.
Faculty members actively engaged in interactive discussions and hands on training sessions throughout the programme.
