St. Joseph’s College (A), Jakhama, will be hosting Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament (VBYP), 2025 (district level), as the nodal institution for four districts, Kohima, Zunheboto, Phek and Tseminyu, on March 14 and 15.
A press release by SJC stated that the district level competition is being organised by Department of Youth Affairs, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, under the theme “One Nation, One Election: Paving the way for Viksit Bharat”.
The VBYP is a transformative platform to promote youth leadership and has been designed to amplify youth voices through deliberation, allowing allows young minds to engage in national discussions and share their vision for Viksit Bharat @2047.
The release added that individuals aged 18 to 25 years (as of February 24, 2025) from participating districts can register online through the My Bharat Portal (mybharat.gov.in). Participants must complete the profile with basic information and upload one minute video on the topic “What does ViksitBharat mean to you?”. The last date of registration is March 9.
Top 10 winners from the district level competition would qualify for the state level competition, while cash prize would be given to top 3 winners and certificates would be given to all the participants. Interested participants have been encouraged to register as soon as possible.
