St. Paul’s Church Wokha celebrates Diamond Jubilee

DIMAPUR

St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Wokha, celebrated its Parish Feast Day-cum-Diamond Jubilee on June 28 at the parish church, Wokha.
According to a press release by media cell, the celebration was marked by a Holy Mass led by former Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. A.D. Jose, SDB. In his homily, he recalled the sacrifices made by the pioneers and thanked God for sustaining the church through 60 years of faith and fellowship.
Fr. Jose highlighted the early struggles in embracing Catholicism and encouraged the faithful to grow as true disciples. Quoting Philippians 4:13, he reminded the congregation that faith can overcome all challenges.
Parish Priest Rev. Fr. C.J. Sebastian welcomed the gathering and shared that the jubilee was a time for spiritual renewal and reflection. A short welcome programme was also held to honour Fr. Jose’s five-year service as Parish Priest in Wokha.
Church members and representatives from Lotha Catholic Union, and churches from Longsa, Niropen, Chukitong, and Humtso also attended the celebration.
